Half of Sukiennice (cloth hall) opened after renovation
Sukiennice (cloth hall) is the biggest building on Krakow's main market square. It is also one of the most representative one and still used for trade purposes.
For the last few months half of Sukiennice was closed because of renovation.
Today 28 Jan 2010 is the first day that this half of Sukiennice is opened for merchants and customers. One of the renovation detail was to install floor heating inside merchant's stalls which will be very useful during this kind of weather.
As Jacek Majrchowski President of Krakow said: "Now we're waiting for second half of Sukiennice to be renovated. Hopefully it will be finish till June 2010 when it will be 600 years anniversary of Krakow's Merchants Association." source
