Krakow Shanties Festival 2010

Between the 25th and the 28th of February 2010 Shanties festival will be organized.

Apparently Krakow is located quite far from the seaside, but many people living in Krakow come from the there, like me for example. :)

Furthermore the most famous polish marine writer Jozef Teodor Konrad Korzeniowski, know worldwide as Joseph Conrad , lived in Krakow for some period.

So these are at least two reasons why Shanties are so popular in Krakow.
