About

Step into the world of English kings of old, aristocracy, and the British royal family. Get to know Westminster, the City’s twin brother, with its endless list of fascinating sites and monuments. Discover the place from where the mighty British Empire was ruled – by the kings, upper class and the English Parliament – known as the “Mother of Parliaments” for its role in shaping political systems of many countries that were once under British dominance.

During the Royal London free tour, we will take you through the place picked by the English kings themselves as their royal residence back in the 11th century. London has always developed in two ways – the City and the East End provided money, access to the port and goods from the entire world, while the West End was all about fashion, entertainment, and the pleasures of the upper classes. Walking around this neighbourhood will thus be a chance for us to talk about them and understand the pomp and elegance in which they lived their privileged lives. West End is a place where English monarchs live till the present day, this is where they are baptized, married, crowned and buried. During our walk we will see the royal residence, Buckingham Palace and the world-famous changing of guards. We will walk The Mall, a representative promenade which was started simply as a field for playing pall-mall. We will discover the amazing history of St James’s Palace and talk about the Tudors who built it. We will visit Westminster Abbey to relive famous weddings and coronations. But the West End symbolizes not only the royal power, but in fact the dualism of power in England – divided between the royal and parliamentary power. This is where the seat of the English Parliament – the Palace of Westminster is located together with the iconic Elizabeth Tower. Commonly known as the Big Ben, sounding every full hour, it is the beating heart of the entire country. We will walk to Downing Street to find the Prime Minister’s house and get to many representative places like Trafalgar Square. It became a symbol of changes London was going through in the 19th century when many reformers took action to improve living conditions, establishing schools, hospitals, social care, drew new streets that went through the worst slums and laid out impressive squares like the Trafalgar itself. We will also see landmarks such as Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, London Eye and Clarence House to give you a complete picture of London’s West End treasures.

Discover with us the heart of England’s royal and political life. Walk to see the most beautiful and iconic sites, you can’t miss while visiting London. Enjoy the lush greenery of Royal Parks and get to know almost a millennium long history of this unique place. There is no city in the world quite like London – make the most of it with us!
