A city with a coat of arms composed of 5 different ones, reflecting 5 different historical periods. Over its history, the Wrocław has changed hands countless times: its founder was Czech, then it was conquered by the Poles. Later, it was taken back by the Czechs, who were then annexed to Austria. Then, Prussia took it from Austria, and then Prussia became Germany. And this is when World War II started… Sounds like a mess, right?
Because of all those processes and their location in the heart of Europe, British historian Norman Davies once described Wrocław as Europe’s microcosm. He said that everything happened on the old continent at some point happened here.

We (Family of 4) went on the Old Town Tour with Matt and found it very informative and was a great introduction to an Amazing city. Matt’s knowledge of the city was incredible and he delivered it in a really easy listen. Matt pointed us in the right direction, to other hidden gems of the city, which added to the experience of Wroclaw.
Great way to getting to know the city. Lukas is a very nice and kind tourguide.
A lot of information is given and nice tips to explore the city even more.

We did a tour with Lukasz and it was amazing! He is very knowledgeable and nice person and we learned a lot!
What a personable little quide this chap is, dripping with knowledge, which he imparts with enthusiasm and whit. I took his advise on trying the ‘concrete ribcage’ market hall’s Milk Bar and the liver in onion gravy with mash and golden baked cannelloni were simply delicious. I happily recommend this tour and café and perhaps round it off with a pint in Spiz.
