About the tour

Are you a whiskey fan? Or maybe you are a fan of Scottish history? Or do you want to feel like a real Scotsman? How did Scotland become the preeminent producer of Whisky in the world (outshining the USA, Ireland and the Cognac industries of Europe)? If the answer to any of those questions is yes you have to join the Whiskey tasting tour with Scotland’s and Glasgow’s top and most experienced guides.

We meet in Glasgow city center, at George Square near Queen Street Railway station. During the short walk to a local pub, the guide will share some history of Glasgow and the area to set the mood for the tour.

We visit a local and traditional Glasgow pub, at least two hundred years old. The pub is a Glasgow favourite for many years, steeped in history and tales of its complicated and ominous past. In a private area of the pub, the guide tells stories about the pub's history and Scotland and Glasgow’s relationship with alcohol, particularly whisky.

A tasting sample of whisky will be provided to enhance your experience, with a guide elaborating on the details to help you understand and appreciate it. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available.

Enjoy a “Dram” while hearing tales of Scotland and Glasgow with someone who has lived here almost all their life. The journey starts in George Square and ends 1.5 hours later less than half a mile away.
