5.1 Local Storage
We store data on your device using:
Secure Storage (Encrypted):
- Authentication tokens (access token, refresh token)
- Stored using flutter_secure_storage with device-level encryption
- Protected by your device's security features (biometric lock, device encryption)
Local Preferences (Non-Encrypted):
- User ID and email address
- Tenant selection
- Privacy policy acceptance status
- Stored using device's standard preferences system
5.2 Data Security Measures
Encryption:
- All network communications use HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Sensitive authentication tokens are encrypted at rest
- Passwords are never stored locally (only authentication tokens)
Access Controls:
- Authentication tokens expire and are automatically refreshed
- Tokens are cleared when you log out
- Device-level security (biometric lock, PIN) protects stored data
5.3 Data Retention
Local Device Data:
- Authentication tokens: Stored until you log out or tokens expire
- User preferences: Stored until you uninstall the App or clear app data
- Error logs: Automatically cleared after being sent to Sentry
Backend Data:
- Your data stored on Walkative's servers is subject to Walkative's data retention policies
