I’m Alex, and while I grew up in the Bavarian countryside, I've called Munich home since 2011. My background is in statistics, and I work as a research scientist with universities, but I also enjoy leading a few tours every week. I started guiding with Walkative in 2024, and I find it has a lot in common with my love of teaching. I get a great deal of satisfaction from interacting with travellers, hearing about their cultures, and sharing my own local experiences.

For me, what makes Munich special is its perfect blend of international energy and traditional Bavarian culture. It's a very green city where it’s easy to get outdoors for hiking or sports, and I enjoy talking about this on my tours, along with plenty of food recommendations. When I’m not working, you can often find me playing football in the Olympic Park, joining a volleyball game in the English Garden, or relaxing with a game of cards in a local beer garden. I also like to get involved in community projects, like helping with neighbourhood clean-ups.
