Krakow

My name is Piotr, and I was born and raised here in Krakow. My connection to the city runs deep; I even attended the oldest high school in the country, which was founded back in 1588. I decided to become a guide quite young, and right after my final school exams at age 19, I passed the certification course, becoming the youngest guide in the city’s history. I’ve been showing people around my hometown ever since and have been part of the Walkative! team since 2015.

Like many locals, I have a classic love-hate relationship with Krakow: I complain about it when I'm here but miss it terribly when I'm away. My tours often explore this complex character, from the ancient feel of Krakus Mound to the modernist architecture of the Krowodrza district—an area I once disliked but have grown to appreciate. Outside of guiding, my background is actually in law. I graduated from Jagiellonian University, where my master's thesis focused on the attempt to legally register the Polish Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
