Hello, my name is Mariusz, and I have been active in the tourism industry for about two decades, showing people around with Walkative! since 2015. My background is quite varied; I am an educator by profession, but I have also worked as a marine motorman and served as a Border Guard officer on patrol ships in Gdańsk. Today, I work primarily as a tour guide and tour leader, focusing on Spanish-speaking visitors from Spain and Latin America, as well as Polish groups. I guide mainly in the historical areas of Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia, and the Hel Peninsula, and occasionally in Warsaw.

On my tours, we discuss the thousand-year history of our city, alongside local gastronomy and Gdańsk's brewing traditions. I often recommend visiting the Museum of the Second World War and Malbork Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site located sixty kilometers away, as they offer crucial historical context. I also frequently collaborate with local historical sites, particularly the Stutthof concentration camp memorial, which forms a major part of my daily work. Outside of guiding, I am a bibliophile who collects books on history and geography. Most of my free time is simply spent caring for my eight-year-old son.
