Victoria
I'm Victoria, and my story with Kraków began long before I became a guide here. Though I'm originally from Alella, a wine region near Barcelona, a visit in 2001 to a then-shy and cold city cast a spell on me. I returned in 2003 for a semester at Jagiellonian University, where my studies in Humanities laid the foundation for my future career. Having guided in Kraków for many years, I've been part of the Walkative team since 2017, and I enjoy helping visitors connect with this culture in a meaningful way.
Living here has given me something of a dual Catalan-Slavic perspective, which I find useful as a guide. I consider it my role to help visitors appreciate not just the sights, but the deep culture that makes this part of Europe so important. My interests are broad, from Renaissance art to the complexities of 20th-century history, which we delve into on tours of Kazimierz and Nowa Huta. When I'm not guiding, I'm often writing or reading, and you might find me with a book in a quiet café garden like Eszeweria or Mleczarnia.
