Weronika
I am Vero, and although I was born near the Polish-German border and studied applied linguistics, my path eventually led me back to a city I first saw on a childhood school trip. After living in several countries, I returned to Kraków to lead a group of visitors and quickly realized this was where I wanted to stay. I completed my local guiding course, and I have been showing people around the city with Walkative! since 2022. Guiding in English, Spanish, and German allows me to share the constant discoveries I make in a place that always has new stories and corners to reveal.
What interests me most about Kraków is how its districts used to be separate towns, each retaining its own distinct atmosphere today. I enjoy taking groups through the Old Town to explain the Market Square, exploring the Jewish heritage of Kazimierz, and showing the unexpected architecture and communist history of Nowa Huta, the district where I currently live. Since I am a foodie, you can also expect plenty of local restaurant recommendations from me along the way. When I am not walking the streets of Kraków or teaching part-time at a local school, I spend my free time practicing yoga, bikepacking, and hiking in the Carpathian mountains.
