My name is Ania, and I’ve been a guide for eighteen years, working in Krakow for the last twelve. I first came to the city to study and ended up making it my home, which is a common story for people who, like me, grew up in a smaller town. I've been guiding with Walkative since 2015, and what I truly enjoy is meeting people and answering their questions—some of which can be quite surprising. I’m a very outgoing person, so my work is the perfect outlet for my desire to talk with people from around the world.

While I lead different tours, my favourite is the Nowa Huta Communist Ideal City tour. About ten years ago, my husband and I moved to the district and absolutely fell in love with it. When visitors make the effort to come out to Nowa Huta, I'm not just showing them another district; I'm welcoming them to my home. This tour also allows me to share personal stories related to my family's experiences during that era, which makes the history much more concrete for my guests.
