Hello, I'm Charlie. Although I grew up in Melbourne, I am half-French and moved to Paris right after high school to attend university. I have now lived here for around 17 years and definitely consider myself a Parisian. I began guiding for Walkative in 2023, which has been a fantastic way to share the aspects of the city that I find most compelling with visitors from around the world.

The two tours I lead—Montmartre and Paris in Revolt—directly reflect what interests me most about the city. I'm fascinated by Paris's incredible cultural history, especially the legacy of the avant-garde that defines Montmartre's story. At the same time, I am drawn to France's long history of political upheaval and the idea that its citizens can still express themselves politically. When I'm not leading tours, I work as a film researcher, writing articles and teaching classes at various universities around Paris.
