I still remember the first time I read both of these sentences. I was 19, at an age of questions, doubts, and uncertainty, and Cioran’s sharp, pessimistic, and ironic way of looking at life resonated deeply with me. As a great admirer of the Romanian philosopher who made Paris his home, I became fascinated by the city he had chosen to live in. I grew up knowing Paris only through novels, poetry, and French films, eventually deciding to make this city my chosen home. I studied Art History and Cinema, which deeply shaped how I see the world and ultimately led me to guiding. After working as a guide here for eight years, I began leading tours with Walkative! in 2026. What I love most about my work is storytelling, because I am fascinated by how a narrative can transform a place, giving new meaning to a simple street or an old building.

What fascinates me most about Paris is its immense poetry and its contradictions; the city manages to be both grand and intimate, elegant and chaotic. On my tours, I enjoy discussing how Paris became a pivotal center for European cultural history, shaped by revolutions, intellectual debates, and artistic movements. We often explore how generations of writers, painters, and filmmakers came here searching for freedom. When I am not guiding, my long-standing love for French cinema, literature, and art history continues to fill my time, always revealing new layers of the city to me.
