My name is Ela, and though I was born in Gdańsk, I grew up in the seaside town of Sopot. My deep interest in this area led me to study its history and culture at the University of Gdańsk, which solidified my desire to share its story with others. For me, guiding is more than a job; I see it as a way to show visitors the true character of the Tricity, beyond just facts and dates. I’ve enjoyed guiding with Walkative since 2018, and I look forward to every opportunity to introduce people to my home.

I’m especially fascinated by places that connect the past and present, like the former Gdańsk Shipyard, which is now a creative hub. On my tours, I enjoy talking about the city's Hanseatic heritage, the story of the Solidarity movement, or the distinctive resort architecture of Sopot. When I’m not guiding, my interests often lead me back to history through books and films, but my other great love is music. I’m a fan of the honesty and emotion in blues, and I often spend my evenings at the live blues nights at the BOTO Theatre here in Sopot.
