My name is Kasia, and I am a professional musician and city guide in Dresden, my home since moving from Poland in 2020. I hold specialized licenses for the New Green Vault and the Semperoper, and I began guiding with Walkative! in 2025. As an oboist, I approach guiding like a musical performance, where historic buildings serve as the notes and history provides the melody. I chose this path because I value human connection and enjoy translating complex historical periods into relatable stories. What I appreciate most about my work is the dynamic energy of each group and the chance to share subtle details, like hidden symbols on Baroque facades.

I am deeply fascinated by Dresden’s cultural rebirth, tracing its journey from the era of Augustus the Strong through past tragedies to its careful reconstruction. On my tours, I enjoy discussing the local Baroque period, the contrast between the historic Altstadt and the artistic Neustadt, and the city's legacy of craftsmanship, especially its discovery of European porcelain. Standing in the Zwinger courtyard to explain its original design for royal festivals is always a highlight for me. When I am not guiding, I spend my time traveling, reading books, and practicing meditation and yoga.
