My name is Katy, and I am originally from Liverpool, where I studied fine art, art history, and graphic design. I relocated to Paris four years ago to immerse myself in a city deeply connected to the arts, architecture, and design. Working as a guide allows me to interact with people from all over the world, which is why I began guiding with Walkative! in 2025. For me, this is an ideal role because it lets me share what I know while continuing to learn from the travelers I meet.

On my Mysteries and Legends tours, I prefer to focus on the more obscure sides of Parisian history to help give context to the city's larger narrative. I frequently incorporate the etymology of French words into my walks, such as explaining how the Saint Jacques scallop gets its name from the shells carried by historical pilgrims. When I am not working, I spend my time exploring places like the Musée Carnavalet or the Musée Rodin. I also go to at least one live music show a week, and I keep a map of my favorite local jazz clubs to share with anyone who asks.
