Hello, I’m Paweł, or PKAY, and I've called Gdańsk home for more than 40 years. I started guiding with Walkative! in 2025, which felt like a natural step in sharing my love for the city. For me, history is about the people—their ambitions, their daily lives, and the choices that shaped Gdańsk's unique character. What continues to fascinate me about Gdańsk is its many layers: it's Hanseatic, maritime, and European, all while being intensely local. I particularly enjoy showing the hidden details and overlooked stories that reveal the city's rich past, a place rebuilt from ruins. Professionally, I work in industry with purchasing and logistics, a job that has taught me patience and how to listen carefully—skills I find just as valuable when showing a city that has thrived on conversation and trade for centuries.
