Hi, I am Rob, and I am originally from Manchester, England. I studied history and literature at university before starting a career as a tour guide that has now spanned about seventeen years. Over the years, I worked as a guide in Paris and New York City before settling in Berlin, where I have lived and guided for roughly a decade. I have been leading walks with Walkative! since 2022, and I continually appreciate the opportunity to share my academic background and historical knowledge with curious visitors.

Here in Berlin, my specialties focus on German history from 1871 until 1945, though my preferred route is the Welcome Tour because it covers the frequently overlooked early history of Prussia. I find that people are highly engaged during this walk, which makes explaining the pre-Second World War era genuinely enjoyable. When I am not showing visitors around the city, I run a bar, giving me a practical outlet for my interests in gastronomy and food and drink preparation. My other main pursuits include reading, travelling, and going hiking with my dog, Gilbert.
