My name is Scott, and after a career in software sales that took me to several European countries, I settled in Nice twenty years ago. My interest in history and international relations eventually led me to a new path, and I’ve been guiding with Walkative since 2025. What I find most rewarding about this work is meeting people from all over the world and seeing a group of strangers connect during our time together. It’s a wonderful feeling to help visitors get oriented and make the most of their visit.

The history of Nice is fascinating, but what I often enjoy talking about most are the simple things: the quality of the light during the 'golden hour' and the incredible shades of blue in the sea. When I’m not guiding, I spend my time exploring the region’s restaurants and neighbouring villages. I’m always happy to share tips on where to eat or which towns are worth a day trip, whether in the nearby hills or just across the border in Italy.
