My name is Thom, and I’ve called Paris home for the last ten years. I started guiding almost as soon as I arrived, initially as a way to improve my public speaking, but my interest in history soon made it an inevitable career path. I've been with the Walkative team since 2022, where the first route I mastered was the Central Paris Historic Tour. I enjoy sharing a city I know so well with English-speaking travellers and helping them make sense of its complex past.

On my tours, I love to focus on history and especially art history—from the early Renaissance through to the revolutionary Romantics and the Impressionists. Paris is a magnet for culture, and I enjoy exploring how its story has been told not just in galleries but also in famous films and books. There’s no better time to experience this than in May and June, when the daylight stretches from early morning until late evening. When I’m not leading a tour, I’m often exploring the city’s music scene and going to concerts.
