Hi, my name is Sarah, and I am originally from Bavaria in southern Germany. After moving to Berlin over seven years ago, I began working as a local guide, eventually joining Walkative! in 2024. My interest in giving tours started during a traineeship at a media museum in Karlsruhe, where I found I really enjoyed explaining history and context to visitors. Today, I appreciate the chance to meet individuals from all over the globe, occasionally connecting with people who have direct ties to local history, such as a visitor who worked at Checkpoint Charlie sixty years ago.

On my tours, I primarily focus on history, holding a guiding license for the former concentration camp Sachsenhausen alongside my regular and Third Reich walks. I feel it is deeply important to discuss German history honestly, exploring how events unfolded so we might avoid repeating the past. While delving into these serious topics is a core part of my work, I also lead an alternative city tour that explores a different side of the capital. Outside of walking the streets, my academic background is in literature, art, and media, and I work as a video editor for various YouTube channels around the world.
