I'm a poet and performer, so my path to guiding was through storytelling rather than traditional tourism. I find the skills are surprisingly similar: the timing, the humour, and the ability to read a group to make a story truly connect. I've been guiding with Walkative since 2025, and I love the feeling of sharing a live story with a new audience each day. My goal is to make the city's history feel as clear and engaging as a well-told tale.

I guide around Westminster and the City of London, two areas I find inexhaustible and endlessly strange. Growing up in Bath, where history is so visible, gave me a strong sense that the past is always just under the present. A quirk of family history also connects me to the Prime Minister William Gladstone, which has always given British politics a personal echo for me. My tours focus on the human stakes behind the monuments: who had the power, what did people believe, and what did they fight for? When I'm not guiding, I write and perform my own theatre shows.
