Hello, I’m Tomasz.

My fascination with history began in my early teenage years, sparked by my grandfather who was a witness to Poland’s post-war history. Growing up during the fall of communism, I became increasingly curious about the past, reading books and speaking with eyewitnesses to understand the transformation happening around me.

I later studied English translation and interpretation at the University of Warsaw and officially became a licensed guide in 2018. I find that guiding is the perfect way to combine my interests: Polish history, the English language, and connecting with people face-to-face.

I specialize in the history of 20th-century Poland, particularly the communist era, and I aim to share my knowledge in an accessible way. On my tours, I avoid overwhelming you with dates and names; instead, I favor storytelling and a sense of humour to bring the past to life. My motto is that guests think they are having fun, but I know they are learning and experiencing at the same time.

When I’m not guiding, my connection to the past continues through my work as a historical reenactor and my hobby of collecting police uniforms.
