I grew up bilingual in Spanish and Catalan in a small village near Barcelona, originally studying film and media with the goal of becoming a director. After the financial crisis stalled the Spanish film industry, I relocated to Berlin, drawn to a tolerant atmosphere where I felt I could be myself. My early days here led me to manage a tour company, which introduced me to the industry and inspired me to step out as a guide in 2017. I have been showing people around the city ever since, and have been guiding with Walkative! since 2021. For me, guiding is the perfect way to share the compelling narratives that originally fueled my interest in filmmaking.
What fascinates me most about Berlin is how its history feels so representative of what is happening in the world today. I especially enjoy discussing the city's everyday contradictions, like how it is socially advanced and open-minded, yet technologically reliant on fax machines and cash. Because I have always been captivated by narratives, I firmly believe Berlin has the most interesting history and is the best place to work as a guide. When I am not walking the streets with groups, my lifelong obsession with films remains a central part of my life, keeping me constantly engaged with new stories.
