April in Munich generally brings milder temperatures and longer evenings. It is a good time to visit beer gardens, see the spring flowers, and experience local Easter traditions. Walking along the Isar river or visiting the city's parks are simple ways to enjoy the changing seasons. Below are several notable events taking place in the city this month.

On Easter Sunday, April 5, after the family-friendly Easter Festival in the Olympic Park, the Isarflux Festival takes place in the evening. This free event is organized by trainees at the Gasteig cultural center. It features live bands, local DJs, a clothes swap, and booths dedicated to social engagement.

Opening on April 17, the Frühlingsfest (Spring Festival) marks the traditional start of Munich's outdoor folk festival season. Held on the Theresienwiese, this event celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2026 and offers a smaller, more local atmosphere compared to the autumn festivals. Visitors will find classic amusement rides, traditional Bavarian food, and beer tents.

Later in the month, the Maidult (Auer Dult) Spring Fair begins on April 25 at Mariahilfplatz. As the first of three traditional annual fairs in the Au neighborhood, it gathers local food vendors, historical crafts, and small rides. It is a practical place to browse for unique household items and observe everyday Bavarian traditions.
