Nowa Huta is a must-see in Krakow, and our tour guide Ania did an excellent job inviting us to learn everything her neighborhood has to teach us. The Polish experience under communism holds many lessons for all people, not least of which is resilience. It was inspiring to hear the ways the (true) community stuck together, standing up against communism, and to see the fruits of this real solidarity in the neighborhood as it is today.
