Servus from Munich! As December 2025 arrives, a festive glow settles over our beautiful city. Crisp air and the aroma of roasted almonds fill the streets. Munich truly transforms into a winter wonderland this month.

The Christmas markets are simply magical, each offering a unique charm. You can explore the enchanting Christmas Village at Munich Residenz Palace, starting November 17th. This picturesque market in the palace courtyard offers Bavarian treats and handcrafted gifts. For a quintessential experience, visit the famous Christkindlmarkt at Marienplatz from November 24th. The illuminated Town Hall and Frauenkirche provide a stunning backdrop. Don't miss the daily Christmas concert from the Town Hall balcony at 5:30 PM!

Another special market is the Medieval Christmas Market at Wittelsbacherplatz, also beginning November 24th. Here you can savor flaming mulled wine in a historical setting. Then, for something completely different, the Tollwood Winter Festival at Theresienwiese opens on November 25th. This alternative market features diverse arts, organic food, and multimedia discussions. With so many fantastic options, you could spend days discovering different markets!

Beyond the markets, mark your calendar for the thrilling Krampus Run on December 14th. This traditional procession through the pedestrian zone is a unique spectacle of Alpine folklore.
