September is arguably one of the most beautiful times to visit Lisbon. The intense mid-summer heat finally starts to mellow out, leaving us with warm, breezy days and pleasant evenings that are absolutely perfect for wandering the city's charming, tiled streets.

If you're going to be in town this month, you're in for a real treat. A major highlight taking over the city is Festas na Rua. It’s a wonderful, month-long celebration that brings Lisbon's parks, public squares, and gardens to life with free concerts, magic shows, outdoor cinema, and art performances. It’s the perfect excuse to grab a warm pastel de nata, find a cozy spot in the late afternoon sun, and just soak up the local community vibe alongside Lisbon's own residents.

To really get a feel for the city's unique neighborhoods while the weather is this good, I highly recommend stretching your legs and heading up into the hills.
