Things to Do in Lviv in November 2026
November may traditionally be a bit cold and gloomy, but for Lviv, it is an incredibly active month full of life and events. As you walk through the historic center, the streets might be buzzing with the hum of generators due to scheduled blackouts, but this sound is simply the heartbeat of a city that refuses to break.

The locals never give up or lose their spirit; they continue living, working, and showing the world that life prevails. If you want to experience this inspiring atmosphere and understand the strength of the human spirit firsthand, we highly recommend joining our Daily Life & Stories of Ukrainian Resilience tour.
While the city remains vibrant, November is also a deeply reflective time for Ukraine as we commemorate two profoundly important dates. November 21st marks the Day of Dignity and Freedom, honoring the historic civic movements that shaped our modern identity. November 28th the country observes Holodomor Remembrance Day, a time to honor all the victims of the artificial famine. When traveling to Lviv on these dates, please take into account that no music or festivals will take place. These are very important days full of memory and respect, and we ask our guests to share in this quiet reflection.
During the rest of the month, however, Lviv's cultural scene is bustling with concerts, forums, and art. If you are walking around the city, you will notice that contemporary statues still decorate several public streets and squares-a lasting legacy of Lviv Sculpture Week: an open-air exhibition initiative that keeps its modern installations on display for visitors throughout November.
There is so much more to experience indoors as well. You can catch beautiful classical concerts at the Lviv Organ Hall and the magnificent Opera House, or attend thought-provoking screenings during the upcoming days of documentary films - Docudays Festival. Literary enthusiasts will absolutely love Земля поетів, a wonderful poetry festival bringing incredible voices to the city. Furthermore, civic and recovery discussions will take center stage at the UNBROKEN FORUM 2026, gathering inspiring minds to share ideas and shape the future.
Whether you are looking to explore the UNESCO-listed center on our Welcome to Lviv! Old Town Guided Tour or want to dive deeper into the city's complex layers, we have a walk for you. Be sure to check out our Instagram to learn more about the different routes we run, and join our Walkative! tours to discover the true spirit of Lviv.
